Araya Outdoor Solutions, LLC was founded in 2016 by Ricardo Araya and his wife Laura. Ricardo leads the day-to-day operations and enjoys making clients’ visions come to life.

Born in a small, rural, mountain town in Costa Rica, Ricardo spent his childhood working in sugar cane and coffee fields. He never could have imagined that the skills he acquired building retaining walls to help prevent mudslides in his town, or helping his family build a butterfly garden for their tourist center, would be the foundation for a successful business in the United States.

Ricardo joined his wife in Moore County in 2013. He spent his first five years in Southern Pines working on grounds crews at places like Pine Needles Resort and Penick Village. He was able to learn the horticulture of the community and hone the skills he would need to operate Araya Outdoor Solutions.

Ricardo enjoys partnering with realtors, contractors, and other landscaping companies.

Ricardo and his wife Laura live in Southern Pines with their two daughters Maisy and Aden.
